Total Fishing NZ is built to respect your privacy. In plain terms: the app does not collect, store, or share your personal information on our servers. We have no user accounts, no analytics, no advertising, and no tracking.
The app uses your location only while you are using it, and only on your device, to show nearby access points, centre the map, and give walking/driving directions. Your location is not collected, stored, or transmitted to us, and it is not shared with any third party by us. Directions use Apple Maps' routing on your device. You can decline or revoke location access in iOS Settings at any time; the rest of the app still works.
Subscriptions are handled entirely by Apple through the App Store. We do not see or receive your name, payment card, or billing details — Apple only tells the app whether a subscription is active.
To show live conditions, the app requests data from public sources using fixed river locations (not your personal location):
These requests fetch public information. They do not send us your identity, your location, or your catch log.
There is none. The app does not track you across other apps or websites, contains no advertising, and uses no third‑party analytics or tracking tools.
The app is a general‑audience fishing tool and is not directed at children. It does not knowingly collect information from anyone.
Because your content lives on your device, you control it: delete individual entries in the app, or remove the app to erase its data from the device.
If this policy changes, we will update this page and the effective date above.
